Faces are Fun

This is an exercise in Jazza’s book (youtuber Draw With Jazza) for facial construction lines and seeing how the construction lines impact how the same features look on a face that has a different shape.
I started monkeying with ears and eyebrows toward the end, and forgot them on that sad-looking gent with the freckles, but I’m never gonna choose NOT to have fun with the drawing… that’s the POINT of this whole endeavor.

I definitely felt a little more comfortable as I got to the later faces. At this point it’s a matter of practicing and refining the same stuff over and over again, rather than learning some new trick or something… I just need to absorb the fundamentals.

Honestly, the hardest thing about this is drawing the damned circle for the cranium in the construction lines. Sometimes it feels like I’m the only person in the world who can’t draw a perfect circle, for some reason.

Also, as a note, I HAVE been drawing the past few days… I just haven’t really done much worth posting. Just some doodles here and there to try and keep the rust off.
