Inktober 2017 – Day 3: “Poison”

Inktoberpoison.jpg

I decided to do something in photoshop today, just to keep from focusing on one style. And, I suppose, actually getting consistent practice in that style…

Anyway, I learned a lot from this. Such as KEEP TRACK OF WHICH LAYER YOU’RE WORKING ON.

I’m not terribly pleased with the cork, but after all the fiddling I did to get a decent texture on the label, I accidentally forgot how I did it, and I got tired of fussing with the cork so I used the closest approximation I could find.

Then, due to that “layers” issue, I accidentally erased a mistake on the label and wound up erasing all the way through the label, so I decided to remove some other parts and make it look a little more careworn.

I AM pretty happy with the color texture on the label, though, and on the perspective of the bottle. Overall, not a complete failure.
