Colored one from a few weeks ago. I like the other one a bit better, but honestly I did better on this one. I just made new mistakes this time because I got cocky. Turns out, marker is more than happy to bleed across your ink lines.
I was trying to layer some green in her left eye (my right) and it oversaturated and bled onto her face.
So, new job has kept me busy while I learn the ropes, but I managed to finish that last one.
I’m quite pleased with this! I definitely had a color reference in the book though, which is how I kinda knew where to shade.
Man, these titles get less inventive as I go.
Haven’t drawn in FOREVER due to travel and such for work right on the heels of the holidays, but I made a point to squeeze something in tonight.
Another lesson from a Mark Crilley book.
I wanted to color it too, but that’ll have to wait until Wednesday.
First lesson from Mastering Manga Volume 3, by Mark Crilley.
I was gonna color it but I’m running into an issue with my prismacolor pens. They smudge something awful with the copics, which means I have to ink after coloring and that does NOT work for me. Need new pens now, apparently.
I’m not super thrilled with the thinner hair strand lines. Definitely need to work on that.
